Hello from San Diego, California
I've been into fishkeeping since 1991. I wish that I had the internet back then in order to prevent a lot of the mistakes I kept making until 1998. I thought that I sucked at it since my fish kept dying after a year or two (damn those filter cartridge HOBs and 1" per gallon rule!). Now that I know better, and still learning by the way, I've been able to keep quite a few of my fish beyond the 8 year old range.
Currently, I have a 8x2x2 aquarium setup with a mix of cichlids from SA and CA. I'm looking forward to the wealth of knowledge on this forum.

It DOES sound like a nice tank! Welcome to AC!Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~Chuck Clark
