Will 3 female kenyis cause problems?
The only pet store in this small city only has one aquarium with "assorted cichlids" so I did the best I could without knowing what I was buying and a little lack of knowledge on my end. Anyway I have a 120 gallon and I figured out what I have which is 9 yellow labs, 3 cobalt blue zebras, 3 female kenyi, 2 jewels and 2 zebra obliquidens. I have no idea besides the kenyis which are male or female but I'm wondering which ones will cause problems. The labs are the originals and one of them is king of the tank for now...bit of a bully. The rest seem ok but they're not adults...only about 2.5-3 inches. I read that kenyis are really mean when they're adults so which ones should I weed out and add more of or should I just wait and see?

may i ask what you use for filtration? I think the stock you have is fine as kenyi do well in a larger mbuna tank and 120 gallons is plenty big. I think Jewels are compatible in a larger tank as well. As long as your Parameters are correct and your filtration/maintenance schedule is good i think you'll be just fine. Especially since their female. I also wouldn't recommend adding many more fish except for bumping up the numbers of the cobalt cichlids for aggression reasons.
Finally reached 6 tanks... oh god, this addiction is getting serious. 75g mbuna tank, 65g gold severum, 55g OB peacock breeding colony, 30g(36x18) growout, 20 long Dwarf Alto's, 10g fry tank.
If I die young bury me in... An 8x2x2 with versa tops and a large sump for adequate filtration;)

Thanks for your answer! For filtering, I have a marineland c360 canister filter and a hang on aqua tech 30-60. This seems to be doing fine...no sick fish yet but then again half arent full grown. What do you think?

i would suggest adding an aquaclear 110 or something similiar. You really cant go wrong with a AC. A rule of thumb is to always use filters with a filtration capacity that is double that of your tank volume. This can be accomplished with multiple filters though, and an aquaclear 110 would be your best bet to push the filtration to a desirable level.
