thank you for those tank sizes, i think i will give my bichir back to my lfs, and just keep a ctenopoma, and maybe some other fish of similar size.
also the congo blackwater setup sounds really...

i reread all three of those articles you posted a few times, they actually said that these species were compatible(bichir, elephant nose and leopard ctenopoma). but i think i will go along without...

what about a knifefish? are we counting that, or is that kinda pushing it in terms of bioload?

the only one that i would think as aggressive would probably the leopard ctenopoma... but they dont get quite as large as the bichir or elephant nose... what alternatives would you suggest?

i talked to the guy at my lfs, he said as long as there's only one of each, and i do include many hiding places, they should be fine together. Although he didn't say anything about lighting... what...
