Behaviour is consistent with one who's craving some more protein. Feed some thawed seafood.

Thanks everyone!
Yeah, did some serious clipping on that a few weeks ago after whic it really perks up.

Kuhli are shy, having a second bottom dweller may well cause they to go entirely nocturnal.
These species can coexist without issues but personally I'd go for an all cory setup.
If you don't...

That's a common but wrong conclusion. Tap water is different everywhere, in one place it may have a near ideal mix of trace nutrients, in others it will be massively out of balance.

No, way too much. An eheim 2213 or similar will be quite enough
Nice for looks but not necessary for functionalityTotally unnecessary for most systems
A couple of kribs won't need all that...

Gave the tank a good clean today. Lifting some rocks to get rid of the mulm. Did a lot of pruning and removal of windelov fern even though the picture hardly shows it. I removed some windelov fern...

Welcome! We can always use another person here that understands the nitrogen cycle and fishless cycling.

Certainly looks like one. Why post in the anglefish section?

I can throw you 3, 4 dozen names but none might fit.
How about a bit of information here? Which catfish? What's on the bottom of the tank? How's the decor of this tank? Is your water very hard?

The link may not be entirely correct. This has also been reported in systems where the water is close to saturation from various other causes. I remember one case on another forum where an air...

P. Erectus isn't very common in the average LFS here.

Actually there is a limit fishmommie... If you really overdo it you run the risk of this. Which is rare but not unheard of.

Rocks that look pretty can also raise water hardness which you don't necessarily want.

Was thinking just that. Certainly a lot more likely than Afro's guess.

This is what you are allowed to own:

I'd say start looking into mud turtles, relatively small species.

With a classic you don't need to suck the hose any time, just when you clean the hoses . And even then just unhook the outflow hose and let gravity do most of the work.
Also a 2215 is quite a bit...
-
Yeah... why would this bother anyone?!
-
I'ts not really otter country there and besides, they don't take 30 koi overnight.
-
looks like a throwback cherry

java moss is by far the easiest to grow of this list. Weeping or christmas will give a nicer finish.
Much will depend on your lighting if you want a tree.

Well... #1 is probably going to feel the best to you.
Alternative is to give away the fish, keep the tank and the filter. Ship the efilter media wet. Fill and add some ammonia when you're add your...

excuse the horrible quality, going to need to borrow a decent video camera sometime soon. But this is what's happening when I feed stringbeans.

What else is in the tank? Mbuna are NOT community fish. A single individual is likely to be not too much trouble.
-
Livebearers other than the traditional 3 can be tricky to find especially if they're not that fancy coloured. In this case the, in my opinion, strange habit of "feeder fish" works to your advantage.
