Thought I'd give an update. They're pretty much all eating normally now. Dunno, guess they just had to get used to the new tank. That said, the first guy is still bullying a little, though none of...

I actually never saw it again. Frankly, there's so much rockwork in the tank that I rarely even see the inverts I know I put in there.

What do you mean by too open?

And I only had the lights up that high for the picture, I normally only have one set of lights on. In that pic, there are 4 T-5s on, but normally I only have two on.

I have driftwood in the tank as well as amazon swords, water sprite, riccia, dwarf sag and hornwort. There are plenty of hiding places in the tank.

75% a day is extreme, imo. Honestly, it's going to stress the fish and discus don't need it unless you're dumping in a TON of food.

    Discus Bullying?

I have about five recently acclimated discus in a 90 gallon tank (Amm 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 0-5, ph 6.5, gh 3). I didn't put them in altogether and I'm thinking that may have been a mistake, since...

I've been thinking and what if I got tap water from someone else? Like, it wouldn't be hard for me to get a tapwater five gallons at a time to add to the mix from someone on different water.

I would do that, but my tap gets RIDICULOUS ammonia readings. Like 8-10 ppm and I want the water to be as waste free as possible.

Well, in which case, I would ask, would I need a meter to determine the true PH and if it is lower, what can be done? Switching to a discus specific buffer?

    Low PH

So, I'm setting up a tank I want to put some discus in, and I'm using RODI water with seachem equilibrium to get the proper balance at around 3 gh (my tap water is atrocious) and I'm noticing on...

    Growing out a Royal Pleco

I purchased a 3.5 inch Royal Pleco last week and I was wondering what I could do to maximize its growth, since it is rather shy and only scavenges at night?

I've already got the tank at 82 degrees...

I think that as long as the set up has a good reflector, it'd be just fine for a 20 gallon LONG aquarium for just LPS and sotfies. Cause the thing is, it's only 12 inches tall and what really...

It's not so much that I want only them as I've found that LPS and soft corals don't thrive as well in clean, high flow waters. I actually have several non-SPS corals in the tank, a Lobophyllia,...
