They say to smell them...if it stinks then it is dead. I have never had to do this myself. I hear the smell is terrible though.

Yes cut the top off and then plant that as a new plant. What happened when I did that was a TON of new growth from both the cutting and the old part. Instead of just being one long stem of leaves...

The thicker stemmed ones work that way...and yes it does seem to take a few tries, but specifically I have trouble with Bacopa Australis. The stems are so thin and they break and they never stay...

You may have to wait a long time to get the roots established...also cutting the plants works wonders. I was skeptical because I too was having trouble getting my stem plants to root and grow but...

I have a very small gravel. It is a plant substrate....looks like the size of kitty litter. I suppose I could use rubber bands and small rocks...that is a good idea. I will search my house for...

I think that you should try to return the tanks anyway. You never know. Explain that you had returned some before due to this same problem and they took them back before. Don't tell them anything...

You could try going to some yard sales and look for something like and end table or nightstand type furniture...or even a small dresser or something interesting. I plan on doing that if I can ever...

I have the same issue. So I got more guppies..males only that look nothing like the ones I originally had. I am hoping for better babies but it has not been long enough for me to tell yet. Good...

I think you can just put them in. I put my plants in before I got any fish and they were fine. But you def want to wait for someone with more experience to answer you.
