Are you saying that Boesemani Rainbow Fish aren't colorful?
What do you mean by "full color" ones? I've got a tank full of Rainbows and they make for a beautiful tank. Let me know if you have...
Iíve been keeping Rainbow fish for years. They are a hardy fish, and very, very rarely have I ever lost one.
That is, except for the Praecox. For whatever reason, Praecox are the least hardy of...

The ones that are silver/yellow as juveniles will be silver/yellow as adults. They won't change into blue/orange. Still nice, but I prefer the blue/orange. I know this from experience and years and...

I've got a little different view than those above.
I have a 70 tall (4ft tank) with 14 Rainbows, plus 3 Roseline sharks, and a few others.
Tank is heavily filtered, with good water movement and...
I know this may not be popular....but I gotta be honest. I bring them home, net them out of the bag, and toss them in. I'm more concerned about not adding the LFS water to my tank than how the fish...
I've had two of them for over two years. They work great and look great too.
Here's a picture of mine in the tank. I run two Rena XP3's, two Smartheaters, and two power heads. They cost a little...
I'm not sure exacty which one you are referring to. Here's a list of the varieties I keep. They are actually much brighter and more colorful in person than in the video.
I don't chime in here too often, but was browsing and your post caught my eye.
I keep a mostly Rainbow tank. Don't be concerned about mixing them, as they all get along very well. I prefer a few...

The Denisonii are the most active. They are in constant motion, and do go everywhere. Makes it very difficult to get a picture!
Of course, the rainbows are very active too. They do tend to stay in...

Both are colorful, active, and peaceful fish.
I say get some of each. You won't be sorry.
Here are pics of a couple of mine:
And here is one of their friends.....
Just a few assorted pics of a few bows from my tank. They are all a little over a year old and maturing up nicely.
The are Roseline Sharks, sometimes called Denison Barb (Puntius denisonii).
They are a wonderful community fish. Constant cruisers who don't bother anyone.
First time posting a video. Still learning and would like to get better quality via Youtube. Any tips would be appreciated.
German Blue Ram
Here's a few more types...
Tami River, Millenium Rainbow (Glossolepis Pseudoincisus)
Blue Rainbow, Lake Kutubu (Melanotaenia Lacustris)
Neon Rainbow (Melanotaenia Praecox)
Here's a couple from my tank I am partial to.....
Running Creek Rainbow & Boesemani Rainbow
Yes, it's a 70 gallon tall tank.
70 Community - Mostly Rainbows
I can appreciate all the love for live plants. When I had them years ago, I found that the better environment I created, the more they grew like crazy, and the more I had to prune them. If I let it...
I've never had Rainbow's before, so I don't have much experience either. I will say they look beautiful in the tank. They seem peaceful and are all hanging around together.
I was very impressed...
I posted a pic of my new 70 gallon tank a few days ago. Things have been going well, and I wanted to provide a quick follow up.
Since that time, I removed the Tiger Barbs I cycled with, and...
Thanks for all the nice compliments.
As to the stocking, I'm thinking of Roseline sharks, various Rainbows, and some type of bottom feeders. Really not quite sure yet. Hoping to get as much color...
