Nice looking pair! You'll have fry in no time.

Great choice for angelfish IMHO. I have a breeding pair of DD black veils in a 75 and they are so huge, I honestly wish it was taller sometimes. :shappy:

LOL, I've heard those panda tetras can be little nippin' hellraisers but I've never kept them myself. I almost bought the same tank you have for my reef tank, but I went with the 50 breeder (same...

Ah, you must have the 36x18x24 65 gal. That's a tough size for sure when you're trying to catch fish! LOL

I agree. Plecos don't just eat algae; they are omnivorous. This is completely normal behavior. Sorry for the loss of your wigglers. IMO you'll either have to remove the pleco, or set up a fry tank...

Laetacara dorsigera is a cool little fish too. I've never kept any, but always wanted to. I have a couple trios of Apisto atahualpa (sunset apisto) for sale if you might be interested. Feel free to...

I agree. If you watch their behavior enough (which you will, because they are fascinating little fish, lol) it should become pretty clear when a pair forms. At that point, it's time to find new homes...
Great advice from Sark. NLS Thera+A is an excellent food. I've had great results using it for several years now.
You have them in water, right? They'll breed. ;)
On a side note, do you have plans for multitudes of fry? Most pet stores won't even take them for free.
Awwww... I just love the misbars! Nice tank.
It's a German blue ram.

Picked up this Favites on Wednesday and just wanted to share!
No offense to you, but I would never suggest stocking a reef tank at the same rate you'd stock a FW tank. SW tanks take a lot longer to adjust and mature. Most of the really knowledgeable members of...
I ship fish and plants all over the country using Priority mail (2-3 days) most of the time. As long as the fish are healthy to begin with, packed and insulated well, and packed with oxygen in their...

Fry have been free swimming for a couple of days now. The tetras have all been removed so their only tank mates are snails and Amano shrimp. Their spawn was huge and there are a couple hundred free...
Hey Sark, sorry for the late reply. Those are Emperor tetras (Nematobrycon palmeri). Our club is awesome, tons of cool members and great fish to be found here. Hubby and I go...

Sorry about the fail ID! I had trouble seeing the pics and just shouldn't have posted anything, lol. Glad you got the fish you wanted!

Well, I will be the first to admit that pleco ID's are not my strong point! I really hope I'm wrong.

Looks like a common to me. :(
Chain store employees have little training yet are expected to sell fish. Most don't know what they are talking about.

Gotta get intake covers on those filters today...:19:

Black for me too.

Update... I found the fish cleaning the back glass last night and was able to get a vid. The male got a little rough with the female and split her tail (in the same spot where it had grown back...
Looking GREAT! Thanks for posting these pics!

Heck yes it's Rich's fault! I have been looking at his angel pics for years! LOL
Thanks for the kind words everyone!
@DrNic- we have the tetras in there to make the angels feel more...

They've been at several great homes with several trusted local club members. The male is large enough so that fin damage happens every time he is bagged and moved, no matter how careful you are. He...
