Dug up a rose bush and put in a pond. Plan to use it for a few goldfish and a common pleco.

Speaking of neons and shrimp. I have had the opposite issue. One small neon of mine was caught and consumed by a ghost shrimp.

I have had a one eyed high fin tetra for five years now. It does make for some interesting behaviors.

I would suggest not using chemicals. Could mess up cycle.

When I cycled my 10 gal, it hovered live this (.05 ammo, 0 nitrite)for a couple weeks before finally completing.

Move everything to new tank including filter. If you want a larger filter. I would run both until the new tank is well establshed.
