    You can basically put in as many corals as you want but they have to fit, if you place them to close as they grow you will need to trim them back and make frags or they will sting each other

    If its for a hampster it should work fine however like posted above you will have an unsightly seem down the center of your tank and the cost of the caulk will be a significant fraction of the 25-35$...

    The top of the tank needs to be closed well with no large openings at all, octopus will escape and end up on the floor.
