3 days ago I bought this pair of 'goldfish' from a roadside vendor who had them in polyethene bags rather than proper tanks and kept tapping them to show me their health...

1 male of each rest r females :ssmile:

ran back to the LFS checked the shark out did some googling and found that it is an iridescent shark. Will it be a good idea to keep them (8 inches long) with mollies and platies?

I have 8 platy and 6 moly in a 65g how many more can i put in and can i put this pair of 'sharks' i saw at the LFS
these are some black fish about 8 inches long have a shark like body but thinner...

again i would like to ask, do three types of fish having same water requirements respond so differently to the same parameters which....... well maybe are out of their actual parameters.......

The thing about parameters is that i do not have a kit because i have been unable to acquire one, not that i have not tried..... it is just not available where i live and buying on the internet is...

i did read about all three fish prior to putting them and they all have similiar parameter requirements

Electric yellows: pH 7.5-8.5, temperature 23-28°C / 74-82° F...

change half or sometimes 80pc water every week, besides will poor water quality not have affected the red zebras equally? Also if water quality is poor dont the fish tend to come up to the surface...

Hi i have a 60g tank. I added 7 electric yellows 6 kenyis and four red zebras. Three of the electric yellows who were the healthiest and had grown best died in a span of 3 weeks. That was 8 months...

I wudnt be so worried but they have shown this behavior only a few days bak while ive had them for like 2 months.... but guess ill just wait for them to get normal.......:scry:

i was thinking of getting one in the future but considering the fact that at my hieght its already difficult to get into my 6og which is 4'x2'x1.5' what will i have to do to get in that one i would...

which fish is the yellow one in the link below. I have six of these myself but apart from they being a cichlid i know nothing about them....

thanks for the explanation and now i do get your point. as i have been looking in the two fish stores in my reach both have only the same kind of filters or box and ugfs. wud u suggest i put another...

i'll have to do the bacteria thing myself because that is the largest filter they are offering at stores within a 10 km radius im not allowed to go further. hence what can i do to make it bacteria...
