What would you consider your secret for keeping algal growth down?
I have a pretty cool mbuna tank but it suffers from algal growth.. ie too much too often. The rocks get dirty the glass gets... -

This fish is supposed to be a Labidochromis Hongi..
I think it is a female, but it has egg spots and I have read that female Hongis dont have them.
Is it possibly a male? He/She is also not... -

actually I was kind of expecting to see the occasional burst of bubbles as the air slowly makes its way out of the filter.. but the bursts stopped a few hours ago. I haven't seen a burst of bubbles...

Problems with my Rena XP4
Ive owned my XP4 canister filter for a month now, after 2 weeks running no problems I did a clean on it and put it all back and now I seem to have problems with water getting locked in the filter...

well I would beleive that except that one angel that has grown like mad eats everything in sight, and swallows everything at once..
the angel that isn't growing will try eating about two or three...
