+1 to the above. Gouramis, angels and barbs are tiger barb variants are likely to result in a tank ofmtiger barbs at the end. The long fin guys will likely be nipped and harassed to death.

I would add a little ammonia. Your .5 reading could erroneous and you don't want to starve yor cycle... Just a dab to get that level up around 2.

Great... Now feed the bact with a little ammonia each day testing every other, til you see ammonia and Trites at zero within 12 hours. When that happens u can start your stocking. Nice work.

I agree with the Gouramis as a good mix for hardy plant lovers.
