You are probably right, I had them in a planted tank, and the cpd's would just hide out most of the time. Only really came out in the open when it was feeding time.

I've kept red cherry shrimp with cpd's before, never noticed any of the shrimp getting eaten. Cpd's very cool tiny fish, not too hard to breed, just wish they weren't so darn shy.
