Thanks so much for the comments everyone! I showed them to my teacher today (I am taking a photography class) and he was impressed too! He especially liked the ones of the rainbows.
And this is the best pic I've ever gotten of any fish, ever. So proud of it!
Some pretty neon rainbows. These are the two biggest ones I have. I think they're male?
Such a good pic omg, way better than any rainbow one I've gotten before!
I got a brand new DSLR and I've been dying to try it out on my fishies. I just took a few quick snaps today and they are better than pretty much any shot I've ever gotten!! So...

And a random shot of an oto. Sorry for the blur, I was using underwater...
Long time since I updated this, but my platies died. I couldn't keep them alive for some reason, I have no idea why.
I moved in October, and have since then completely restocked the tank. I now...

According to that chart with my temp and ph, my toxicity was at 0.54, which was in a red square.
Nothing in the tank changed except the water itself. It was the same temperature as always, I used...
At work the most common sizes I hear people having is 20, 33 and 55. Although there are a lot of 90's, 120's and 180's in Edmonton!

So my boss at my part time LFS job called the city and they said that the ammonia spikes often when there's melting and run-off, and its been unseasonably warm here lately (Warm enough for lots of...

Wow thanks for all the responses, guys!!
I actually already use prime but usually just the "normal" dose. I will do the triple dose next time. The bacteria has eaten almost everything now, but...

I just had a tank wipe overnight right after I did a water change. After several hours of trying to figure out what the hell happened (The levels were crazy, .75 ammonia and .75 nitrite when the day...

Okay, I thoroughly scrubbed all the glass in my tank and then did a good gravel vaccuum. Hopefully that will take care of the problem! Thanks guys :)

I don't have fry in my tank, the smallest things are the neons you see in the video and a couple of nerite snails.
Theory... would I be able to just... wipe/smush them off the glass...

Okay here is the video. It goes in and out of focus, but the very beginning and right near the end are the clearest.
Ignore the TV in the background lol.

I did consider those but I'm not sure. How big do they get?
And these... there are hundreds. Maybe thousands. They are tiny tiny and are alllllll over the front pane of glass.
I don't feed...

I have these tiny, pretty much clear things hanging onto the glass in my tank. I thought at first they were glass anenomes but then I remembered I have freshwater haha.
They are anchored to the...

Maybe can you tell us the background story? It would help us a lot with what advice to give you :)
I would stick with just the canister filter too. I have heard that in freshwater, the extra tank for a sump/fuge is more trouble than its worth. Save your smaller tank to use as an actual tank or a...
No pics yet, but I have now restocked the tank. In the main display are 4 young platies (1 male, 3 female) from the local LFS and in my QT are 3 adult platies (1 male 2 female) from a different...
