So now that the Aquapod has cycled, and has my two clowns in it, I would like to create a sump out of my 10 gallon...

Is it better to use carbon or not? I have some zoas and woody polyps, and I read somewhere that carbon might take out some of the trace minerals that would help these guys survive.
