this sounds like a bad idea. I'd feel much more comfortable with a new tank than trying this and risking not having a home for my fish if it breaks some how. I'll have to think about this. Thanks.

Tank light not working
I have a coralife compact flourescent fixture and as of today it will not turn on. Brand new bulbs in the fixture. The fixture is between 2-3 years old. Also, the power switch will not even budge....
