Hmm, not sure if they'll have any opportunity to spawn or keep their eggs with loaches, julie chichlids, ghost shrimp, and some danios in the same tank. Thoughts? The only other tank I have is a 10...

So with most fish I have kept, I can usually pick off when they are stressed and when they are comfortable with their surroundings.
Angelfish, I've kept for about a month now. I still don't quite...

Yes, it's been doing good. It seems to be the leader of the pack as well. Trying to figure out if i got lucky enough to have both male and female adult angelfish.

Well, with the AC it's pouring down so the higher the water level, the harder its going to be for it to agitate the surface, is it not? The water is pretty high right now, but I will check on this....

Here is video of both loaches without the lighting on my tank, you'll see how one appears a bit gray. It's hard to catch them up when I get close to them, so I did this one slowly. The better close...

No, different times. I'll see about the black background, great idea. By the way, are the lids absolutely necessary? The only problem I've ever had was with shrimps jumping out and I figured out that...

I finally repositioned spray bar and put the windows back on. I got some carrots blanched, some garlic, and fish flakes crushed them all together and mushed them until they were soft. I...

Yeah, that would explain how just about anything I have that is left with water turns bright white if I don't dry it quick enough. One of my pots looks horrible now because I left a lot of water in...

I am pretty sure I will purchase the thermometer. Now, about the python water changer.....will it be OK with the sand substrate I have? One of my biggest problem is that sometimes a lot of the sand...

You know what, I think I need to be better at matching the temperature. It seems close, but I could probably do a whole lot better in making sure its as close as possible. When I pour the water, I...

I've adjusted spraybar to where the current is facing upwards to surface of water, not spraying up the light and creating a ripple effect as far as what I can see. This current does not seem to be...

Thank you for your response. Let me answer your questions first, then provide updates on my current status.

I made an attempt to record them as they are doing it. Please take a look and weigh in on your thoughts. Some of the fish are near the surface more than usual now since I am right in front of the...

Is it? The loaches go to the corners of the tank and make the clicking sounds, sometimes not. I understand they usually make clicking sounds or go to the surface when there is food, but they are...

Just wanted to put in some more details based on water change this morning:
I notice my angelfish exhibit this same behavior too. They don't go to the corners, they will go up to surface and look...

I've been noticing some of my loaches going up to the corners of the tank and up to the surface then making the clicking sounds every so often. I've got a ton of plants, do regular water changes, and...
Mind taking some more pics of it? It could be that previous owner just fed way too much and it got used to it =).

I think this pic will help. Click on picture to see original version.
Thanks, that means a lot! This is my first time doing a planted tank. I think I can definitely improvise on what I have now. Do you agree on IDing them as H. corymbosa and Lindernia? I am trying to...
Here is a better closeup picture. The plant on the left is the same as the one in the previous picture.
H. corymbosa and Lindernia seems to be accurate based on pictures I'm seeing.
Bought these a while back, completely forget their names. Can anyone tell what they are? I know the one is the java moss, but not sure about the other two on left and right.

Ok, so I mainly wanted to confirm that it is not normal and by what you are saying mommy1, it looks like not. Did the video ever end up working? I will try to get better video a little later today.
