My other one that has been seeing a lot of attention and is now getting CO2 again since I found brewing yeast at last.
These two show the lushness of the tank. It's very thick....
I'm not sure of the numbers of the stock that is not recent due to the losses I suffered.
However the new additions are as follows:
50 Pristella Tetras
20 Kerri Tetras
So another photo from the latest adventure :)
And a short video of how my tank is looking after its restocked
An absolute pleasure to share it with everyone and I'm glad that you guys are enjoying it.
I am leaving again on Wednesday, which is a public holiday in South Africa, for the Pilanesberg game...
What do you folks think of the pics and trips so far?
Probably explains why my car has already got 5000km on the clock in less than 3 months
Thank you to everyone.
In order to keep my dad and family's spirits up a bit I have been taking them on what I call "My Dusty Adventures" (so named because my car is a Duster and the adventures...
Thank you to everyone!
As I have now got the tank under control, tested and everything, and it has been quarantined I restocked with a school of 50 Pristella Tetra.
The four tanks now look like...
So I haven't been on here for a surprising amount of time.
The sad news is that I almost lost a battle with ich in my main tank. It came out of no where. I did not add any new fish or change...

That would be an issue for you lefties haha
I'm moving forward some 15 years of technology from my current car.
That and an ability to wander around game reserves and get to hikes with ease....
Some non-fishy related news...... I'm getting my first new car! Super super excited! I may be collecting later this week. Mine will look exactly like these two pics.
As promised :)
I'm uploading the video. Unfortunately my internet in South Africa probably isn't anywhere near what you guys have. So this will take over an hour to upload to youtube.
The school has split up a...
So a little update.
I've been looking to change stocking a little in my 185L tank. The Black Neons and Neons have not been as successful over time as some of the other small schools. Therefore I...
So I've had to do a lot of trimming already to this tank. Roughly every second day one of the plants has had to be trimmed. The growth in this tank is truly phenomenal. However, green spot algae is...
So on Sunday I was able to take some time off and head up to the game reserve for a day. Here are some of the pics from it:
My beautiful Betta is no more :-(
The power went off for four hours. I turned off the CO2 and checked all the parameters. They were all good.
I wake up this morning to find him dead and stuck...
I think it will make things "pop". It will definitely hide the filter. And that is currently far too visible
The nano got a nice trim today as a lot of the plants were touching the top and starting to bend.
I have also added a few pieces of Rotala Wallichi to pick up the red tones a bit more.
There are a ton of factors that can cause problems with plants
I don't know if it is the only factor here but across my tanks with high light setups if I increase the quantity of iron in the water then the plants show off more of these red and yellow colours.
That would be one hellava trip for some water [emoji23].
This is the end result of very high light in the correct spectrum with the right amount of ferts. I dose Seachem Flourish as my general...
The growth rate in this tank is amazing! Going to have to be careful about nutrients.
