If price IS an issue, than you should be fine...
If price IS an issue, than you should be fine with the 1/4hp chiller. But if price isn't an issue than go ahead and buy the 1/2. Buying the lesser powered one will not raise an issue for your tank...

I might be able to describe it though. It covers the whole length of the tank and is around 15-20cm wide(6-8") maybe 10cm(4") in height. If that helps at all.
