I just don't want to put all the energy into dismounting the florescent bulbs for the LED's if they will not be as strong.
Do you find that there is a difference in water penetration...
Thanks for responding, Cliff.

Do you think they would be strong enough to replace...

This link shows a diagram of the light spread... It is considered "wide model"...
I found some LED light bars at work. I see many articles on LED lighting that is designed for Aquariums, but what about bars that are not specifically deigned for this?
Specs are here......
My yoyos are pretty clever, I've seen them swimming upside down at the surface to vacuum up the flakes that I feed to the guppies. I can't find the yoyo in question, he could be dead, or hiding, if...
I bought out all they had last time. The 3 that I have do anything but school. Does this change as their numbers grow?
The only other tank that I can quarantine him in, is my shrimp tank. I could move him. I am gone from home for a week, so I will need to check on him when I get back...
I should try to go pick up...
None of that really applies. ALL OTHER FISH IN THE TANK ARE FINE. No treatment. Weekly 50% water change. CO2 DIY.
I got 3 yoyo loaches a month ago or so. two have doubled in size, and behave...
So I bout 3 yoyos a month or so ago. Two of which have almost doubled in size. One hasn't grown at all. Now he's laying on his side, I thought he was dead but he moves around when I went to nab him....
tried several types of snail trap configs. Not much luck. So many plants, they just don't even seem to notice the bait.
Do all loaches require sand, or are some fine with normal aqaurium gravel?
I have a snail issue. Who doesn't, right?
I have given up on shrimp in this tank. The guppies think that they are just too darned tastey. Fine.
So, now, I am open to critters that feast on...
I love my active tank. Lotsa guppies and fry. Eventually it's going to be too full. I need to find a way to get rid of my fry when they get too big.
I am in central Indiana and I can't seem to...

I believe that 2 T5HO will do the trick. I have a 36 gallon bowfront, 18" to...
I used the Melafix for a week.
The tail grew out a good eighth of an inch.
Thanks for all your advice.
I moved the ladder down so they can't swim up into it. The fry love the...
Thanks for all your help.
I put some in last night. The great part is, she acted like nothing ever happened. She was as pail as a ghost when I set her free, but snapped right out of it. Tough as...
Yesterday, one of our guppies got caught in the Co2 ladder, it swam up into the part that holds the hose. I read on another forum that this sometimes happens, and to fix this, move the unit down so...
By damaged, I mean, that my wife pick them out, and we didn't notice, but one of the males had a little tail damage. When we got them home he stayed in the upper right corner of the tank, and didn't...
So, two more guppies dead.
A month and a half ago, my fishless cycling was done, and I added 5 guppies. One died within a week, but he was damaged when we got him, then the other male died a week...
Could these have came from feeding frozen bloodworm to the fish?
because it has been well over a month since I last added any plants, and I never saw any until yesterday, and it was tiny...
My aquarium has been up and running for about 1 month now.
I found a snail, it's about .25 inches. I didn't put it in my tank, should I be concerned? The weirdest thing, is that all that plants were...
I read on several websites that tetra can/are fin nippers.
I have heard that CARDINAL TETRA are not. I have a few guppies, my wife pick them and really likes them. Is it more than likely that they...

Attached is a pic of the guppy.
It has been a week, so I hope that this starts to show signs of healing.
On another forum, people suggested adding salt... I wouldn't want to do that in the tank...
I just got 5 cobra guppies, 2 males and 3 females. One of the males has a very tattered tail, it was that way when we bought him. He may have been bullied from the other fish at the LFS.
After that huge water change, when I got the nitrites down to around 5 ppm.
When I started dosing more methodically, the nitrites didn't ever go sky high again. That's what I meant.
