I forgot to rinse my java moss (from Singapore) I took it out of the bag and put it in my shrimp tank. Perameters seem ok, but the moss is turning brown! Can anyone help me ? Thanks all for input :)

Water sprite is wilting
Help...Some of my water sprite branches are turning brown and all wilted. I do have some brown algae in the tank and the nitrites are just a smidge. Any advice please. What should I do?
