    tank size

    A 55 would work fine.
    As long as you plan to upgrade within the year.
    If the rays tail touches one side and his head touches the other when turning around the tank is too small.

    Very nice ray.

    i've got two teacup stingrays myself.
    They are amazing creatures. Mine are also about 4" in diameter.
    As far as tank mates go I would recomment Arowanas.
    I have mine with a Silver arowana i got it...
