Personally i think the fish having a disease is the least of your worries....

The minimum you should have is a 10gal.... and neons are schooling fish and only feel comfortable in groups....

Loches and cory's are schooling fish.......

I'm afraid you will have a hard time finding a single fish suitable for a betta that can live in a 10gal...

3 otto's seem like a good idea to me.

Nipping is only really a problem when people keep them in small tanks and in small numbers....

Your going to need a big tank right away.... 20gal is too small for 6 comets......

I recommend getting a Python for water changes (Google it)...

Or just lead a hose from the tank to the garden (Or sink), Suck it and let gravity empty it =D.

To fill it up just use a garden...

Sadly i have some bad news.... Those fish you mentioned cannot live in a 14L. Id start from scratch and re-home all the fish.

So The Tank has been setup for 2 months now.... Heavily planted, heated and unfiltered... the tank is well balanced.

I use a 9wat light at night and it gets natural light during the day. I dont...

The problem is people mainly keep betta's in tiny tanks and if they add a filter which they rarely do the betta's can't get away from the current... They have to use alot of energy to swim with those...

A flow with a betta is perfectly fine.... All the betta's iv kept love playing in the current. Just make sure there are area's that have a low current and they aren't constantly struggling to...

A you didnt mention you were cycling the tank... Take it slow is my advice.

Lots of water changes is best even if its gonna slow the cycle, If not some fish will will prob die during it......

I know that Rule floats about alot on the net but it causes more harm than good... Would you put a 10" fish in a 10gal tank?

Id get around 7- 8 rasbora's. no other mid-top level fish.

6 dwarf cory's could be an option if you have enough filtration and keep up weekly water changes.

6-7 kuhli loaches could work too.
