Haven't seen the big boy in a while. Thought I'd tempt him out. :-).
He's the one I kept from the first batch I bred over 9 months ago.
The Amazon sword I planted in here has made an appearance after a massive trim. To be honest I'd forgotten it was there.

If you have anything that can really pester the male then he'll either not breed or he'll abandon the eggs.
I've had a problem with shrimp where there are now enough to force him to abandon the...
Here's a pic for you Slap of the effect of some iron and high light. The red/orange is 3 days of growth.
And I suspect that level of TDS was a freak occasion. The quoted figure is 130 from our supplier
If I remember correctly when I had my water tested the TDS was around 20-40.... Which makes life difficult for CO2 injection as the hardness is a buffer I sorely need.
But I sorted that out...
I stopped using Prime and switched to Safe. Far far more cost effective.
Only difference is that help with the slime coat.
Depends a lot on what your normal water supply contains.
A little dash of iron can work wonders for plant colour. I put about 3ml maybe every two weeks.
They are supposed to float but the first few times it definitely wasn't keen on that.
Oh I find if I give it a little extra iron it tends to flower within a week or so. Not usually so quickly. It once put out four of these but I had to cut them because they grew so far out of the...
Before you really get going Slap.... I almost guarantee that you know it's an Aponogeton Ulvaceus :-P
It somehow threw this up in two days. 50cm above the gravel....
Oh boy.....Here we go.....
An interesting guess but no. :-P
Never seen this before?
It's always nice to hear that :-)
Got a nice surprise today from the tanks in general....
So who knows what plant this flower is from? [emoji1]
Speaking of that tank, the L Arcuata has finished its transformation from emmersed to aquatic and so I was finally able to place it where I have intended it to go :). It should grow into a nice bush...
Thank you. It has actually been built to be my parents tank when I move out in the next few years.
They do love the tanks but the bigger ones are a ton of maintenance whereas that little one is...
Clarity has finally been achieved. More floss, a nice water change and a little flocculation to clear out the tiny particles after the rescape.
I believe it is at least 4 days usually. This was quite a short event running for maybe 5 hours. But then when it is the third reception it's not too surprising when it doesn't run for too long.
There aren't many table shots as I was kept constantly busy by group images with the bride and groom. Would have also preferred to capture more of the venue but I was unable to. Guess that is what...
A few of the venue and decor
Interesting to see the differences sometimes between countries.
The average good wedding photographer here is normally around R15000-18000.
It's only the top few who charge like R25000. Having...
For just the reception?!?!
They definitely weren't but I'd be scared to think what the whole thing has cost.
The wedding industry is worth an absolute fortune.
Not sure if it translates well but a top wedding...
I would have no idea actually if anything like that was done at the actual wedding. They held their wedding ceremony in India two weeks ago with 1700 guests. Then they had a reception...
They are henna dyed. Probably stay on for a week.
It was. The event was held in the Mosque Hall.
