Yeah, I would only risk low light plants like those mentioned, preferably the rhizome type (java fern) that you can attach to raised objects in the tank to get it a little...

Swords and other stem plants need lots of iron and other nutrients in the substrate, so tabs would work.. But they also need a fair bit of light and CO2..

Wisteria and Hornwort would fare...
