I'm happy to report that Shelly is now starting to form new shell like a normal, happy snail. It even extends beyond the 'fake' shell I made him out of egg shells. I'm curious as to what's going on...

Quick update: Since I posted, I've performed a repair on this snail using cleaned egg shells, super glue, and nail polish. He's a happy little dude, now. Will post a follow up with pics soon.
