Thanks for the info - that's good new. Off to the LFS tomorrow.
I've recently got a few plants and along with them came some snails :( Looks like I have the bladder snail - for the past week I've been picked out about 5 a day but seem to be losing the battle....
I've got a new 60L freshwater tank that I've put JBL Aquabasis substrate in, followed by a layer of gravel.
Aquarium has no fish in and I've treated the water with aquasafe and also cycled with...
Thanks for the info. I bought the plants at Maidenhead aquatics in the UK. A fairly large LFS.
Comparing a few pics for the 1st one - it looks much like the hornwort.
Thanks - I've compared it to a few pics.

It also looks like it could be a micro sword.
The middle one is different to the last - maybe from the same...

I'm going to be getting one of these soon and want to mod it.
If anyone has one of these cabinets with the shelf in the middle can you please do me a big favour and take some measurements for me....
Here is a pic of my tank with the powerhead at the botom. I've got another carbon/sponge filter - the the blue canister but that one is ok.
Thanks. Interesting - I didn't know that. I"ll get replacements and see what happens. Very annoying to come home and see the pump at the bottom of the tank :)
I've got a small tank with one of those power pumps that you stick to the side of the glass with those black suction cups. For the past few weeks the thing keeps falling down, at least once a week....
lol - yes. I was also thinking its survived a long time starving :)
Thanks - I'll looking into getting some drift wood. Off to the LFS :)
This morning I see my pleco died. :( Was about 4 years old and 30cm long.
I've been reading a few posts on how much people feed their plecos and now wonder if he starved to death :(((
Awesome. You people are geniuses :)
I looked up a pic of one and your spot on!! Thanks very much.
Another ID question :)
Not the greatest of pics but they don't keep still long enough for clear shots.
Its a freshwater fish, about 2cm long, fairly thin, with a black dot on the end of the...
Ok - thanks. I can see them being isolated for many many more months then :(
The only large fish I have is a pleco and a silver gourami, and 3 medium sized clown loaches.
The others are fairly small - red wagtail platy's, a few neon tetras and some rummy-nose tetras.
Apologies for cross posting but I originally posted in the wrong thread and no one seems to view that one (or has any answers)
A few months ago one of my red wagtails had babies. I only noticed...
Whoops...wrong category. A wagtail is not a betta! :)
Can the mods please move this.

Thanks - I'll have a look at the shop tomorrow. Guess I'll just see what happens. Not sure when they were born but the other fish don't seem to be bothered/interested. I just wonder how many were...

Busy cleaning the tank and noticed one baby swimming around - a small red wagtail platy. Its about 4-5mm long.
I've got another non aggressive fish in the tank - neons, pleco, loaches.
I just had a new tank going for a few months and have the following fish:
3 x rummy nose tetra
3 x blue tetra
2 x tictoe barbs
2 x threadfin rainbow
2 x albino red fin shark
3 x red...
Looks like the rope fish is out then :(
Thanks - I think your spot on. I seem to recall the LFS saying something about threads :)
