I'm running both the HOB and canister for now, so I think I will be good. Nitrates are at 0.

Tested today and ammonia is at .5.

So ammonia seems to be going down/staying down.

Even if I have no nitrites yet though?

For now I have them running together, but the HOB is annoying because it is slightly noisy, and I sleep in the same room :P
