I once purchased 2 small gouramis with my current gourami in my 55 and they outgrew it and bullied it. Really odd.
But gouramis get more aggressive as they age, I am going to have to disagree here...

Pleco is acting normal but he looks a bit odd
My l201 was covered in these light patches when I bought it(this was a year ago) and its completely solid in color, but I've never seen this...
That's one nice piece of DW. Looks just awesome.
The rainbows, like I said, get large for a 55, and it would be better to stick to a smaller species that doesn't reach more than 3". Mine are already almost too large and I am rehoming them in the...
I have a queen arabesque pleco I want alive & I want my plants to not get demolished.
And getting a bigger tank would such a huge step that I don't know if I will ever take.
If I go big, I'm...
Seeing as you have generally small and peaceful fish, and a pretty high(but reasonable and well organized) stocking as well, you can't really add another schooling fish. All of the fish you mentioned...
Well, time passed, and he grew.
Definitely a Goldie.
It's territorial, healthy, and just flat out stunning. I don't know what I'm gonna do with him when he gets too big.
Honestly, at 12" and a 8' tank with 2 massive plecos, this is really pushing it, but I could imagine this working out in a 10' by 2 1/2' tank.
Either way, the risk is not worth it, but you could...

Same here, but I only had mine for 4-5 days.
But the normal Farlowellas do just perfect.
It's really weird, but oh well. I'll eventually have 6 normal Farlowellas just sitting around doing their...

This picture deserves its own post.
Introducing, the queen arabesque pleco.
Got this fish 8 days ago. It's not too active, and it just stays in the mid back of the tank. Sometimes it...

Full tank shot
New rock addition, perfect territory for when I add loaches.
Loaches should be added within a month.
The farlowella "cleaning" a nerite. He probably didn't...

Well, bummer, both rams died over the time period. Nothing I can really do about it. Hardness is rather high, which could of been the reason, but the store we bought them from was using hard water....

I would take a look at the Espei/lambchop Rasboras first. They look almost exactly the same from a glance, but stay a bit smaller, which would allow you to keep a larger group, but mainly what I love...

Kept cherries before.
I really like the idea of columbian tetras.
Kept em before
Seems like a nice fish, really. Colors seem like they would go in well, no long fins, definitely keeping these in mind.

Good point. Tank size & territory would be the main factors here. As long as the amount of space they take to themselves leaves enough for the loaches to remain happy, the loaches will just...
I've seen these in the past, very nice color. I think this wouldn't be a bad species at all.
So now, I'm just wondering. What would be the school of fish that swims in the mid level that can handle...
1. Well, yeah.
2. I thought there a huge variety of synodontis?
3. Alright. I'm fine with not having cichlids if it won't work. Well, to be honest, this list is much more simplified than my current...

Get some anubias or java fern lol

No, they will not. They just get very excited and may get a little rough with a random fish if they don't have their own kind to play with. I would recommend getting at least 6, like you said, but...
Hey everyone. It's been a while since I last made a thread here, and I've recently been thinking(yep, here we go again). I have both a planted 125 gallon and a planted 55 gallon now, and the 125 has...
