Someone told me a long time ago that you can use toothpaste to kind of buff out fine scratches. I don't remember if that was for acrylic or glass though.

Yup, I have had them both together and with no problems.

Patience is the key. As stated keep a check on Ammonia and Nitrates. If I remember right my 29 gallon took about 30 days start to finish when I cycled it.

I've used Ebo's for years and like them. I only had one that turned inaccurate after a couple months of use. I was going to send it back but the cat knocked it off a counter before I had a chance....
