I have a 16 gallon bowl front. Downside to the bowl front that it makes everything in the tank look big. Easier to spot any probelms in the tank.

If you have lowes in your area, they have silica sand for 10$ for a 100 lbs. Same as pool filter sand. I have pool filter sand and my cory cats love it. Easy to rinse and use. Sinks pretty fast.

There LEDS aren't that great. I have the fluval spec 2 gallon and half of my LEDS died within 4 months. Replace with different led light.
