Filters definitely need a job on them. Thanks for that! I will do that ASAP.
I have been treating it for algae recently and so I have been doing water changes. It has to be the filter.
I have been going along on my merry way since setting my tank up.
Recently I started seriously testing water parameters. I know I should have started this earlier.
Can anyone suggest what...
Welcome. Hope you get all the assistance you need here!

There are a couple of fixs to the ich that I can suggest.
Of course there is treating the water for ich. You can buy that stuff from your LFS.
The second one is turning the temp of your tank up....

Hey guys, I know this is a Geo cichlid.
Can anybody identify what kind?
Thanks for that. He/ she died anyway.
Such a shame! I had a look at my Sailfin pleco though. He is a beast right now! I might try a few things with him. I don't want to feed it just algae wafers.
I have a bristlenose who seems to have 'shrunk' since I got a sailfin pleco. This BN is no longer looking very healthy, he/ she is only about 3 years old.
The BN seems to have a kink in its body....
Cheers! I have checked his PH and Ammonia already, that is all fine, so too is the temp, so yeah, must be the end soon! Will let you know when good old Paddy passes on!
On his side! He curls up a bit also!
I thought it might be his time! I hope he makes it to the 17th March though.. Saint Patricks Day you see.. i got him on the 16th, hence his name.. Paddy
That is him in my picture there. That is when he was in the 250ltr tank with a few neon tetras!
I have a heater and filter and the works, the heater is off because it is still really warm. It is about 22 degrees here at the moment, and that is cause it is raining. I put him in with the weaker...
Simple question, maybe... How long do Siamese fighting fish live for?
I have had mine 2 weeks short of 2 years.... he ain't looking so hot now.
I thought he was dead just now, but can still see him...
Ah, sorry, I should have mentioned all the other fish are gone, expect for the BNs and 2 Pakistani Loaches.
The tank is 4ft!
Considering getting a Black Ghost Knife for my tank. Would they cohabitate well with 2 Pakistani Loaches and a few BN?
Wow, I have never seen anybody with pet Ferrets! Mental.. they do look excellent mind you!
Thanks Celtic Fins! Off for a few in a couple of hours!
Got the day off work.... whoooo....
My Congo Tetra has quite a large cist in his stomach. Should I euthanase him? I don't see it disappearing! Any ideas on a cure?
Sorry for that Neon, you did what you thought was best. The only thing you could have done. He was prob in alot of distress and pain, best thing for him.
Well, thanks for the ideas lads but they died during the night!!! I am not happy with the water I put them in. Crap!!
Hmmm?? JUst did a bit of research. Dude in the shop said they were Peppermints. They look more like Starlight L183 BNs to me though!!
I don't know of any cause I don't have one, but how did you manage to get a pic of a GBR on the top left of the screen, where the normal logo for the site usually goes...?? Excellent looking!!
I just bought 2 very small baby Peppermint BNs. How do i know they are feeding. I put in a 2 algae wafers, broken up of course. How do I know if they eat them or not. So far they have not...
