I'm back after a couple month hiatis......
Work has been keeping me way more than busy and unfortunately this is one of the things I had to cut back on..
News for the last couple of months.......
I put them into a seperate tank as it was the tank mates (peacocks) that started picking on the damaged Oscar.
Going to keep them there while I get their new home setup - 100g acrylic
I have two Oscars - one tiger, one albino = both at 5" or so....
They are both located in a QT tank after recovering from wounds about a month back.
Tank stats are great, size = 43g bowfront. ...

Got real lucky the female was out and about and in a picture mood.
Watching this little pair and contrary to what I have been able to find out they have a couple of unique behaviors.

Exev if they do manage to survive for a bit, when they shed they will be quickly consumed.

Getting decent ones of the female is tricky.
Fast little lady and definitely camera shy.
Suspect it was method of transport and tankmates.
My LFS has a dealer that works with him toget the harder to get and wild caught fish.
As a precaution I removed the peacock female.

Scrup is correct.
I have a 60g mbuna tank and through trial and error found that a mix of large flake and sinking smaller pellets all the fish get what they need.
Now if I can get them to slow...
