I was too late.. He passed away and I found him stuck to the filter intake. Thank you for trying to help. What do you think it could have been? Should I treat the tank for parasites?
these are the best I could get
He's still alive. Lying on his side. Moves sometimes. I'm waiting to find him at the front of the tank because I can't get a good enough picture. I see no worms..
I've only noticed this for the past 2-3 days. He always used to greet me at the top of the tank and always swam just fine before this. Bright shimmery colours too. The other fish have never bothered...
Nitrates are at 0 as well. All seems well with the water...
1) What is the tank size? 33g
2) What are the tank mates? 8 neons, 8 red phantom tetras, 1 platy and 1 pearl gourami.
3) What is their diet? Hikari Micro Pellets, Hikari Micro Wafers, Hikari frozen...
I've had my Bolivian Ram in my established community tank for the past 4 months, and (s)he's been totally healthy until now. He disappeared for a couple of days and has now shown up but is just kind...

Can that be right that they are all coming out at 0? The fish have been in the tank overnight..

I did check my pH, no worries with that, it's sitting between 6.5 and 7 now. I'm thinking I may have tested my tap water wrong. It seems that my ammonia, nitrates and nitrites are staying good as...

I got 8 more neons so they're all hanging out in the middle of the tank! They're doing well, and I think I might actually like them. :P

Yeah, it's a platy :P

Actually, I'm a beginner so he's either a platy or molly. I'll take a picture later and get some help on that. I haven't yet, but I just picked them up last night. I kinda like them, they're pretty...

Awesome! And yes it is planted! Bunch of java ferns and I think an amazon sword! Found out that the "guppy" is not actually a guppy at all, but a molly! Haha :P

Could I do....
11 Lemon Tetras
11 Harlequin Rasboras
1 Bolivian Ram?
Too many fish? I'm trying aqadvisor as a loose guide, but I'm thinking you're probably best to run it through :P

What are the Harlequin's like to keep? :) They're cute little guys! Also, what about serpae's?

I had had a list I made up about a month or so ago when I had had my eye on a 66g. My list was:
-Corys, specifically Pandas

I wouldn't expect that I would. ^^ I'll call them up on Friday and see! :) If I am able to rehome them.. what do you guys think would be a good stocking list?

I don't want to breed just yet, this will be my first tank that's all my own. :) I'm sure I'll eventually get MTS and upgrade, but at the moment, I think I'd be happy with just one Bolivian. Hmm.. I...

I'm receiving the tank tomorrow, so I dont have the pH in the tank yet. :) Should I retest my tap water? This was not dechlorinated tap water.
And hmm... alright, the guppy is male. Would there...

Also, I just tested the pH of my tap water because I could... it came out as 5.5. Why would it be so low?

Yea, I was going to keep the U2 running in case quarantine is needed. :) I have an extra 10gallon just sitting around. That what I had wondered, I didn't think two of the smallest fish would really...

So I'm picking up a 33 gallon aquarium from someone on Thursday. This aquarium already has 1 guppy and 1 neon tetra (neither are my favourite, but they can stay for the remainder of their lives!)....

Thank you. :) Should I bother looking into a second schooling fish yet, or just leave my tentative stocking list as is? Suggestions always welcome! Also, what would be a good substrate for all of...

I've heard Black Skirts can be aggressive, is that only if kept in small groups? Because I had been interested until I heard that. So far as a stocking idea, I had been thinking:
- Bolivian Rams...

Those are very pretty, nice size too. :) I think I may have seen those at one of the LFS's that I've visited as well.
