I'm hoping this is a simple question with a mundane answer!
I have 10 zebra danios, and have just noticed that one of them has gotten very skinny, just wondering as to possible reasons.
Absolutely, have been really rigid in making sure the water has been fine before adding any fish, though may have not waited long enough before adding the plec with their higher bio load!!
Going to find out water params tomorrow as have run out of testing stuff!
Will start the water changes tonight and going to Lfs tomorrow as hopefully will be able to pick up anything I...
I have gotten in from work to find one of my black corys lying at top of the tank as if it was dead. When I went to fish him out, he had swam off but is sat on a leaf breathing heavily...

My LFS has some of these in, they look fantastic and i have heard that they dont grow to be massive,
are they still too big for a 125L tank?
dont want to get into a situation where a fish is...
I was being general,
i fully appreciate that you use the adult sizes when working that out!
in the tank i have zebra danio's, black phantom's the 6 spotted corys, and 3 black corys, i also...
Just fake plants,
Im still pretty new to the hobby so didnt want to overcomplicate things just yet.
As another brief question, what is the general rule of thumb in regards to stocking?
I was thinking about adding a couple more black ones.
Yeah, have been really careful in following the advice of the guys in the shop in regards to schooling and looking after the tank.
I have a 125l tank and have 6 spotted corys.
there seems to be 3 bigger ones that are visible in the tank, yet there are three slightly smaller ones that hide constantly underneath one...
It is a new tank,
so you reccomend simply cleaning it all off and it should, over time go away?
Just a quick one,
Noticing that on the glass of my tank and on the ornaments and leaves in the tank there are brown spots that are easily wiped off glass and washed off the...
right then, will be changing the water more often then!
i managed to clean out a lot of it with a net and already its looking cleaner.
Just need ot knock the ammonia back down!
Yeah, i have stopped feeding anywhere near as much over the last few days.
in terms of changing water, i just was under the assumption that changing water every day would unsettle the fish?
regarding the test kit, yes i will get one, but whilst i am new to the hobby, i use the advice the shop offers, and no they use the containers and add the different thinkgs to it, so its more...
After some issues with my tank, and eventually buying a new one and cycling the tank. (of which advice on here was very helpful), i have finally gotten my tank to a situation that it is ready for a...
