Hi all im abit concerned about my rainbow chiclid.

Why would you give your fish which has been in a Microwave?
Humans shouldnt consume food which had been in a small radiated box nevermind fish.
Surely blanching it in hot water would be alot better...

Ive looked up that Cliff but i dont know what i looks like "dead"
it does have alot of white hard stuff in some places esp the sump, is that it do you think?

Hi all, I recently got my hands on (for free) i think its a 120 gallon tank with a 30 gallon sump and need to know if anyone by experience has had to do anything specific to clean it out or prep it...
also are waterchanges or filter cleans recommended while the tablets are in the tank
I have a fish which has caught white spot, so i bought Parazin but the description doesnt say alot.

The filters have been matured for around 2 years well two have the other less than a year.
Ive just been reading around and apparently filter changes should not be the same time as a pwc.

As title sais ive read up that a wc such as 20-40% should not be done when the filters get cleaned.
Is there any ammount which is safe or should it just not be done.

I will be re-homing the Firemouth, although he is fine with all the fish he does have squabbles sometimes with the rainbows but they are rare and never turn out in...

i havent noticed any problems as of yet but as soon as i notce anything i can rehome or get another tank.
the firemouth does well eat and puke back out the substrate my tank isnt densly planted at...

I am looking to upgrade i have two externals and ne internal all 2000 lp/h so it should have atleast 5x turnover but i do want more as i have messy fish!

I should also note that the barbs and rainbows are near enough 1 year old so still not their full size.

My tank is in my signature, the fish are all kind of small no more older than 2 years and is fine now i believe but how will it be when they reach full size as the serverum, angel fish and rainbows...

Ive just read somewhere that if a angel fish is proper kept and nurished it should be full size at max one year.
I have had a angel fish for minimum 1 year and 6 months and it is not full size.
