well i found it dead this morning. very frustrating this. if they all go i'm going to clean out the tank and do a fishless cycle. been doing water changes everyday so dont know how this has happened??

if i where you i would wait until the cycles done properly before you add anymore ;-) I've done another test for nitrites and there was a reading of 0.3mg/l. also i have noticed that 1 of my neons...

i'm using a tetra water testing kit as i couldn't get my hands on an api one.

my kit tests for all what i have given below.

GH=0.8mg/l
KH=8...

my tank reads 0 on nitrites too and i'm in my first cycle 3rd week. i thought nitrites were supposed to stay at 0?

also how many at a time can i put in my tank?? that goes to fish and shrimps. also is it possible to keep small crabs in freshwater??

right i bought a test kit which was not too cheap but cheaper then the others, its a liquid 1 and tests GH,KH,PH,CO2 and nitrites.

GH=0.8mg/l
KH=8
PH=8.5
nitrites=0
CO2=1.3mg/l

the opaline gouramis look a nice fish but again i think they are small. also are they compatible with tetra??
