In nature, a few out of hundreds of fish fry survive. I saved my guppy fry and now i have to give guppies away... :scry:
Better just let nature take its course or your tank will be...
Haven't posted in a while.
Just discovered a way to feed rice grains. Usually the rice grains would sink to the bottom and only one or two guppies would have a nibble.:scry:

This type of filter is good as it can be cheaply made and also do not suck fry in. they provide good biofiltration and aeration. The sponge should be washed monthly.
basically water is drawn by a powerhead into a plate beneath the gravel. the water is pushed up the gravel bed. this way no debris settles on the gravel. However, this is not recommended for planted...
the ghost shrimp that i keep seem big enough to keep with serpaes. unless the ones you have are juvies, in which case you have to feed them (fish food, blanched veggies, fruits... you can even feed...
ok thx! Just a couple questions:
1)when i miss a feeding, the bellies are back to normal. i notice that when i drop a few algae tablets for my shrimp after feeding the fish, it is the fat fish...

some of the neons look fat. is it eggs? i havent seen any courting...
cos live food n dead food are totally not the same. I cant find a section on culturing live food. :scry:

yep the box filters are air powered
now i have a 60l capacity hang on back filter...
would that be enough?

Try filtering through peat moss -- it will stain the water light brown but u will have the happiness of hearing the patter of little fins... :P
Another method is to put driftwood into your tank...
ok i just emptied my tank (sold all guppies, transferred WCMMs into other tank...)
and added 50 neons. Now they'ra playing follow-the-leader and its soo fun watching them...

hard boiled egg yolk?
