Second that, no reliable and non risky way to lower it without removing the substrate. A ph of 8 isn't too high for most fish. They are more adaptable that most people realize. Stability is more...

When I kept Mbuna I fed them once a day, sometimes once every other day. Currently I feed all my fish every other day, except the crayfish. They tend to eat each other if they get hungry.

Just go slowly. Spread it out over a few days, or depending on how much you are raising it, maybe a week or two. Give them time to adjust and compensate.

  16. Feeding a crayfish to a puffer- warning- contains animal being eaten.
