Super excited for you on many fronts!
Great that you are finally able to get those blue Angels that you have been wanting.
Then wigglers! So awesome ( happy dance).

Its not a political issue at all- far from it. Thats too easy. For instance, I would gather from the language you are speaking ( "political correctness" and "nanny state") that you are a...

The Planted Tank is where I primarily hang out. What I like about TPT is that people can express their differences of opinion about a particular aquarium related topic without moderator intervention...

Im still coveting these tetras, Lee.
One of the most beautiful tetras Ive seen of late.
-
It is Echeveria 'Mauna Loa'

I suddenly got the urge for including ornamental shrimp into my aquariums and have recently set up two tanks for them. most likely because I have no room for big tanks and can always slip in smaller...

I have been stopping by and reading; but, have not been posting. I do have lots of updates though. Ill post a couple. :)

Im glad someone is in the spirit of gardening! Beautiful iris!
In the succulent garden: Some of the echevarias have not held up well under the summer heat. May need to find alternatives from what...

We made it through the night.
Traumatic for the cats. Ugh!
There are fireworks all over my street today. Least they could do is pick up their mess after stressing out my animals.

Now that my old dog, Lexi, has become deaf, she is blissfully unaware that today is the fourth. The cats... well... another story.
Have a great 4th everyone!

LOl! Is that a Freudian slip or a type-O ? O and M are kinda far from each other on the keyboard.
Its funny, my mother also cannot find what I find about fish-keeping so appealing. She will walk...

I sooo much want a 75 gallon for my African tetras.
But, I know my wish would be met with a big fat "No!" from the significant mother. (sniffle, sniffle).
-
+1. For a 55 gallon- I would get a canister- hands down. Much better mechanical filtration and movement at substrate level.
-
Blue Gill is pretty tasty. My favorite is crappie. :)
Nice pond you got there.
-
Congrats! Really loved both of these pictures!
-
Its a close race! Nice pictures guys :)
-
You are so wonderful, RiversGirl :)
Thank you so much- that is the highest compliment. For me, natural is always best.

It is a 180 gallon tank- 72" x 24" x 25"
The g. sveni and neambi both stay relatively small for a geophagus species- unlike some variants that get between 8-12 inches in the aquarium, these two...
-
The g. neambi are gorgeous! I only have 3. I wish I would have evened it out with 4 sveni and 4 neambi. But, the vendor didnt have the neambi at the time.
-
Thanks angelcraze2 :)
Yes, these are all African tetras.

None of the Rotala's worked in my low-tech tanks. Unfortunately.
-
I rearranged this tank and thinned the Java fern down.
The geophagus sveni are getting big and have developed their long trailers off of their fins. The g.neambi are still sub-adults and just...
