it takes time u just gotta wait u cant really rush it i found out. every time u do something your just stirring it up again and making it cloudy i waited 2 almost 3 days for my playsand to clear in...

make sure you have the top of the filter on i had the same problem with noise lvl when i bought mine but then i remembered the lid for the filter/bioweel and it made it tons quieter
