My pair of nanacara anomala in my 125g out of nowhere bred. The male is only 1 week in the tank as well, which is extremely interesting. The female is guarding the rock with eggs on it, and I could...
Could you emphasize a little more on what you mean by low tech?
You could up your harlequin rasbora numbers to 25 or 30 if you want. Or you could choose a school of 8-10 slightly larger...
Just wanted to share with you guys a fish that I've seen for sale recently.
Not my picture, found it on the internet.39702
So yeah, with loaches being my favorite kind of fish, I'm really...
To be honest, your best bet is just going with anubias and ferns, and maybe a large sword or two.
Any carpet plant that hasn't been growing for a few months will get destroyed by a decent sized...
Fish is doing well... Still trying to get a pesky checkerboard barb out of my tank... Dang thing is mean, even though it has a group.
Better picture39586 finally
Best pictures I could get today
Cool! I've only been in the fish hobby for around 4 years, but it's been constant to the point where I can identify around 300(rough estimate)+ tropical fish species from memory, and I can generally...
3 l183 plecos at $8 each, and a pair of apisto cacatuoides double reds for $25.
Over here, the l183s go up to $30 and the Apistos usually go for 50-60 a pair. The male I purchased already looks like...
Didn't read through the whole thread but here's some advice.
Cycling is in my eyes, just a way to further secure and guarantee your new fish's life. Which is a big deal.
I used to not do it, and it...

I was going to try to go 5/5/5 on the cories and my 3rd group being adolfois.
But if I can't find them I may.
Still treating the nanacara anomala, really hope it makes it...

Thanks. Any suggestions or questions?
I like the idea of the denisons in a huge planted tank like this. Congos wouldn't be a bad idea at all either.
My main concern is trimming, are you going to stick with a bunch of swords, or fast...

Update this with my last post, - the 4 angels, and soon Sailfin mollies.
Also +5 sumo loaches, forgot to include that I found a good loach as well.
Although, if I do happen to find golden zebras, I...

Have 6 lemon tetras, a pair of checkerboard cichlids, a m/f pair of nanacara anamola, and 5 orange lazer cories now.
As well as an oto just to test out how truly well they do in a planted tank with...
What do you use to test your water?
Such nice looking cardinals for if what you say is a 7.5 pH. Generally they thrive at a bit under 7.0, but these look at top quality, not that it is at all a bad...
Nice tank, what page is the full stocking on?
My 125 uses 1/4" and has been completely fine; it's 6' by 1'6" by 22" high.
I would recommend doing a test fill first and let it sit for a day or so to make sure there are no leaks, then go for...

I'd be fine with that price.
Oh and I actually have 2 female 2 male Boesemanis myself.
I'm sure it doesn't make a huge difference, but I kinda actually like the female Boesemanis. They are...

Honestly whatever I can get my hands on. If there's 4 males, I'll get them, if it's 2 m/2 f I'll get them. If the price is above $20 each, I'll get 2 at a time.

I had seen these guys at an LFS
Wanted them so bad but I couldn't afford a group of them at $30 each
Just too much.

Figured as much.
Would you reccomend I get 4 red rainbows, or 2. They will be in the 125g with 4 Boesemanis as well.

Generally, it's do you want a fish tank with plants or a planted tank with fish? And you're right here. But it's still possible to have both if you don't go extreme on the plants.
I myself didn't...

There's a lot that can go wrong with co2, and it really would be a huge change on your fish that could end up in a few losses if you aren't extremely careful.
Personally, I think you should stay...

I second this, my Boesemanis took about 6 months to get a decent amount of color. The next 6 months is the test.
