I feed fresh veggies once or twice a week, for my shrimp and fish...cucumber doesn't have much nutritional value, try zucchini, yellow squash, green beans, broccoli....I'll usually steam some for...

Any good quality fish food will work, they'll like some more than others....they like blanched veggies, as well

Unless your water municipality uses pure chlorine, there's no need to let the water "breathe"...many places now use chloramine, which will not gas off like pure chlorine
