Rest of Your Aquariums:
1 3 gallon critter keeper with airstone and my daughters bullfrog tadpole. 5 gallon cycled tank with baby swordtails and black mollies. I also have a 55 gallon tank, wood stand, filter, light and hood that I will be setting up soon within the next few days. 2 ten gallon tanks that are not in use with filters, lights, 1 5 gallon acyrillic setup, and numerus 1.5 gallon to 4 gallon tanks and critter keepers that I've accumulated at yard sales.
How I got started with aquariums.:
Dad bought me a 29 gallon back in mid 70's when I was around 13 yr. old. Had that and a 10 gallon at time and loved taking care of fish. Until 2005 I got side tracked in life and desided to get my dads 10 gallon, we put a common pleco, 2 clown loaches, 1 angel and a red tailed shark into the tank, and I guess you can guess it every one of them were dead within 3 months. Since then I've learned alot and am planning on using my present knowledge to being a better father to my fish.
Favorite fish:
Clown and Weather Loaches, Cory's, Sailfin Mollies, Bristlenose Pleco's, Angelfish and Bettas.
Fish I have bred:
Mollies, swordtails and guppies as a child
Why I like fish::
It is very therapeutic to set down and watch them + they are quite interesting, each one having their own certain behavior. It gives me something to do that I enjoy.
Best advice:
Before spending tons of money on brand new aquatic equipment check yard sales, flea markets and even newspapers for used equipment. You won't always get the best but every once in awhile you can come across a gold mine. I am an avid garage sale person and to this day I have never spent over 50.00 on aquariums except for filters and heaters which are very hard to find in good shape. Also for aquarium rock check out the pea gravel at Home Depot and Lowes it's a heck of alot cheaper and looks gr
