Aquarium 1:

6 gallon tank, bookcase style, 24 inches long, about 9 inches front to back, 10 inches tall. Used 3 types of river pebbles for the substrate. Combination of silk, plastic, and live plants. Has a really ridiculous castle in the middle of the tank. Home to one spectacular betta, Fluffy.

Aquarium 2:

6-gallon bowfront eclipse. Jewel lives here. Has a combination of two sizes of river pebbles for the substrate (cheaper smaller ones on the bottom, nicer ones on the top). Combination of silk, plastic, and live plants. Has an artificial rock cave ornament that looks fairly realistic.

How I got started with aquariums.:

35 years ago I had a fiance who wanted fish. I dumped him, kept the fish.

Livebearers. I guess I should say they did all the breeding, I just provided the motel.

With my lifestyle, it's about the only link to nature I have.
