I don't have more aquariums than that/those described above.
How I got started with aquariums.:
5g fluval chi disaster with mollies, Betta and goldfish. A week later bought my 55g and 20g. Started doing research. Bought more tanks within 6 months. That was 2008. Early 2013 went down to 1 tank (the 55g) and started learning about plants. Late 2013 moved and went down to 37g. Like everyone I learned through disaster and trial & error, and a ton of research.
It changes with every new stock set up. But if pressed rainbow fish and goldfish
Fish I have bred:
Panda cory cats, angelfish
Why I like fish::
The challenge of the perfect aquascape. It can be as complex or as simple as I want it. It is also relaxing to fish gaze and I love how people react to my tanks.
Do what works for you. No set up is the same. After you learn the basics, experiment and break the rules. But first learn the basics. Research, research, research. Always triple check someones advice.
Pugs (2) Attila & Ku, Manx cat Samone
Here fishy, fishy, fishy..since 2008
Become your own guru... question, research, experiment, form opinions, and above all quarantine.
Something always goes south when I am least prepared for it. Since I have fish disease on the brain, notes that havenít been lost and research sites still in my phones browser I thought I would be smart and create a post for faster reaction times.
This is the way I treat issues and is not intended to be a guide for others, just my notes and plan to help my memory lapses. I use less invasive steps first such as cleaning up root causes, stock management, heat, increased air and circulation,
Hi! My name is Casie and I keep tropical aquariums. Now that I have admitted my addiction lets move on.
My main tanks have always been 20, 37, and 55 gallon. I prefer those sizes. I might go up to a 90 one of these days, but not any time soon. I keep a 10 gallon QT/Hospital/Fry tank empty and waiting. I have pulled my wine cork collection out of the 5 and 3 gallons recently for a run at micro tanks sometime in the near future.
