Aquarium 1:

1 gallon bowl (water fully replaced every 5-6 days) housing a male Halfmoon betta (blue body, red fins) named Baron. Has a sandstone arch, 2 inch pagoda, and two bamboo shoots. Uses a heater under the gravel (small river stones).

How I got started with aquariums.:

My dad used to keep a larger fish tank while my sister and I were kids. I had painted (externally!!) a fish bowl as a Christmas gift for a friend that wanted a betta, and ended up wanting one myself. :)

Favorite fish:

betta, kissing gourami

Why I like fish::

They're pretty! Not that I won't filet and eat the ones I catch in the lake but I think they're aesthetically pleasing pets that are a pleasure to watch. They're worth the work to take care of them.
