How I got started with aquariums.:
I started with a way-too small three gallon and a bunch of tetras.

Too many to list but i do like catfish

Cory catfish, platies, guppies, all unintentionally
Why I like fish::
They don't pee on the carpet or chew up your shoes.
Best advice:
Don't buy on impulse. Research first. Use Google.

Praying mantis, snails, shrimp. I also frequently go over to see my friend's kittens (pics 2 come)

500-ways-to-be-a-better-freshwater-fishkeeper The product title is slightly misleading. At least 20% of the book's tips are for people who have never, ever, ever set up a fish tank. However, even though I have not read ALL of the tips yet, there are some good ones in there. Some of the ideas presented are new to most fishkeepers and very interesting. A little outdated since it's from 2005 and lacking more detailed/key advice. Worthwhile read even though some of the tips are for
