Why I like fish::
they're colorful and interesting, their environment is colorful and interesting, and they don't eat your newspapers, scratch your couch or defecate on your persian carpets
Best advice:
Don't let this hobby degenerate into the dark ages, where there was one opinion to everything and everything else is heresy. trying stuff out is good. what doesn't work for someone can work for someone else. don't blast away at newbie mistakes just to make yourself feel better; many of us started like that too. they are the future pillars of this hobby and we will die out if they all get turned away.
